How to Clean a Floor Cleaner

PUREATIC Cordless Floor cleaners are equipped with a self-cleaning mode, and under normal circumstances, you can activate the self-cleaning button as the pictures:

however, it is also recommended that customers perform a thorough cleaning based on their own usage conditions, with the methods as follows:

I. Preparation Before Cleaning1. Power Off and Unplug: Ensure the floor cleaner is turned off and unplugged to avoid electric shock.2. Prepare Tools: Clean water, neutral detergent, soft-bristled brush, cleaning cloth, bucketII. Cleaning Core Components1. Dirty Water Tank Cleaning• Remove the dirty water tank, pour out the sewage and debris (avoid pouring directly into drains to prevent clogs).• Rinse the inner wall of the dirty water tank with clean water. For stains, add a small amount of neutral detergent, scrub gently with a soft brush, then rinse thoroughly.• Check the tank’s filter/float ball. Remove the filter, rinse or replace it.2. Roller Brush/Brush Head Cleaning• Detach the roller brush or brush head, and remove entangled hair, threads, and other debris (use scissors to cut off stubborn tangles if needed).• Soak the brush in clean water mixed with neutral detergent for 10–15 minutes. Scrub surface stains with a soft brush, rinse thoroughly, and air-dry (avoid direct sunlight to prevent deformation).• Replace the roller brush promptly if it’s severely worn to maintain cleaning efficiency.3. Clean Water Tank Cleaning• Pour out any remaining clean water, rinse the tank’s inner wall, and soak it in a small amount of white vinegar for 5 minutes (to remove limescale and odors), then rinse again with clean water.• Check the tank lid’s gasket for damage and clean stains on the gasket to prevent leaks.4. Suction Inlet/Pipeline Cleaning• Wipe the suction inlet with a damp cloth to remove residual stains. Use a long, thin brush to unclog the pipeline if blocked.• For some models, run the machine empty with clean water to flush out residual sewage and debris from the internal pipelines.5. Body Exterior Cleaning• Wipe the surface of the machine with a dry or slightly damp cloth to remove dust and water stains. Do not rinse the body directly with water (to prevent water damage to the circuit).

III. Post-Cleaning Maintenance• Reassemble all components only after they are completely dry to avoid bacterial growth or circuit malfunctions due to moisture.• Regularly check for wear on the roller brush, filter, battery, and other parts, and repair or replace them promptly.• If not in use for a long time, empty the water tanks, fully charge the battery, and store it properly to prevent battery depletion.
