Will Kittens Refuse Food from Smart Feeders?

Kittens may refuse food from automatic feeders, but it’s not absolute. It mainly relates to the following reasons:• Changes in food texture: The food storage compartment of the feeder may expose dry food to air for a long time, causing it to become damp or hard. Cats are sensitive to food texture and may refuse it as a result.• Unfamiliarity with feeding methods: Some kittens are used to being fed by their owners’ hands or with familiar bowls. A sudden switch to the feeder’s food-dispensing method (such as mechanical noises or changes in the food-dispensing position) may make them resist due to unfamiliarity.• Dislike for the food itself: If the feeder contains food that the kitten doesn’t like in the first place, it may refuse it even without the feeder—this has nothing to do with the device itself.However, most cats have strong adaptability. With gradual guidance (such as placing a familiar bowl next to the feeder first, gradually transitioning to using the feeder for dispensing, and keeping the food fresh), if the appearance of the feeder is nice,  they will likely accept it over time!
